Wine Expert

Born and raised in Southwest Michigan, I am a proud Hope College alum with fifteen plus years of experience in the hospitality industry and a passion for wine. After college I spent twelve years working at luxury resorts and restaurants in Montana while climbing the highest peaks and skiing the cold smoke a hundred days a year. In addition to my wealth of experience, in 2022 I passed the Wine & Spirits Education Trust Level 3 Wine course, which makes me not just a wine nerd, but a certified one. Don’t hesitate to ask me about what to drink or just chat wine when you see me around the restaurant.

In my free time I work on turning my backyard into a food forest and grow too many kinds of tomatoes (18 last year), in addition to sailing, fly fishing, skiing, and traveling to wine growing regions around the world. Cheers!
